"Main module for primary regolith processing: Refines regolith and extracts required type of oxide from it. Can only extract one type of oxide at a time."

Description

Single Regolith Refinery units began to be used on the Moon simultaneously with the start of industrial mineral extraction. Initially developed by the "Malachite" corporation, this complex continues to play a key role in lunar production.

The Single Regolith Refinery is designed to extract oxides from lunar regolith. The module's design allows for the construction of the refinery with minimal material costs, but it limits its functionality. The extraction of oxides requires specialized reagents and precise equipment settings, so refineries can only work with one type of oxide at a time.

The mechanism of the refinery involves extracting useful elements from lunar soil, the regolith. In the refinery units, the regolith is crushed and undergoes thermochemical interaction with other substances and compounds. The oxides produced in the process are separated from the slag using separators and directed for further processing.

Notable Features

Has an input for Slag. Slag inputted into the single regolith refinery gets passed through to the slag output.
