Description
A battery is a unit for storing large amounts of energy. Depending on the size of the battery, it can store different amounts of electrodes and electrolyte, which affects the total energy capacity.
Initially, small-sized batteries were used on lunar facilities. Their capacity was sufficient to power small research or scientific complexes during the long lunar nights, which last just over two Earth weeks. The expansion of industrial facilities necessitated the storage of larger amounts of energy, leading to the development of new models with increased energy capacity.
