About
The Metis Society is a non-profit public organization dedicated to the study and development of the world's oceans. "Metis is a community of scientists, environmentalists, activists, and volunteers. It emerged in the 2040s and announced an alternative view on solving environmental problems: instead of conquering the space "Metida" proposed to start mastering the world's oceans. The society exists on donations of individuals, foundations and organizations, and actively cooperates with the governments of countries seriously affected by the rising level of the world's oceans. "Metida" does not seek to develop the Moon, but actively acquires "lunar" products for its own projects on Earth.
