Khandir is an international research outpost on Titan, a satellite of Saturn. The settlement is located in the Khandir Hills, is small in size, and is populated by two dozen colonists. "Khandir is the most distant inhabited object in the solar system. It was founded by Crust in 2089 as part of a project to create a transshipment base for exploring distant planets and satellites. The great distance to Earth and other colonies seriously complicates the supply of the outpost, even given XSpace's long-range flight capabilities. Khandir is in constant need of supplies and automated equipment, since most of the operations on the satellite are performed by robots, and humans only control them.
