About

"Argos" is a complex of automated research stations and satellites controlled by artificial intelligence orbiting Io, a satellite of Jupiter. The Argos project was established in 2075 as part of the Galileo Network research initiative. Io's constant volcanic activity and extreme radiation levels prevented the establishment of a permanent colony on the satellite, so its exploration was entrusted to the experimental artificial intelligence "Argos". "Argos" became a decentralized Al whose copies were placed in orbiting satellites and connected via laser communication technology. 'Argos manages research modules and drones on Io and conducts surveillance from orbit.
